## What you need to check

You need a Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card or Veteran Gold Card. The power account must be in your name, at the home you live in. The name and address on your card must match the account. The discount does not apply to the first $171.60 of the year’s bill. If your yearly bill is over $4,038.82, ask about the Excess Electricity Concession too.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
