## What you need to check

You must live on a Bass Strait island and be 65 or older. You need a Pensioner Concession Card (from Centrelink or Veterans’ Affairs). You get 50% back on one return trip to mainland Tasmania each financial year (1 July to 30 June). You must book, pay for and take the trip first, then claim.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
