## What you need to check

It covers trains, buses, ferries and light rail. You may get a School Opal card, a school travel pass, or both. Transport for NSW sets the rules on who can get it. Passes update by themselves each new school year. You only apply again for a first pass, or if your name, school or address changes.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.

Struggling with this form?

OPA can go through the official form with you, one question at a time. You check each answer, and nothing is sent until you say yes.
