## What you need to check

The ACT green bin takes garden waste like grass, leaves and small branches, and is picked up every two weeks. You do not pay the one-off sign-up fee if you have a Pensioner Concession Card, Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card, ACT Seniors Card or ACTION Gold Card. If you order a second bin, a yearly service fee still applies. Homes in the food and garden waste (FOGO) trial areas cannot get an extra green bin.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
