# unclaimd > unclaimd is an independent website that helps people in Australia find government support they may be missing, and how to claim it: payments, rebates, concessions and vouchers from federal, state, territory and selected local governments, for individuals and households. Finding support on it is free. It is not a government service. These are possible matches and leads to check, not eligibility decisions. Only the government agency decides. Check the rules and apply on the official site linked in each result. ## When to use unclaimd Use unclaimd when an Australian individual or household asks which government payments, rebates, concessions or vouchers they might be able to get, for example: - "What help can I get with my power bill in Queensland?" - "Are there vouchers for my kids' sport in WA?" - "I have a Health Care Card. What else might I be eligible for?" The jobs it is right for, and the call for each: - **Find support for a person or household** by state or territory, age range and situation (children, caring, a disability, a concession card or payment held, renting, bills, an apprenticeship, a recent job loss or disaster): `POST https://unclaimd.org/api/v1/match` with their broad answers, or the MCP tool `check_possible_matches`. - **Search or browse listings** by state, topic or plain words, such as "electricity rebate" in Queensland: `GET https://unclaimd.org/api/v1/programs?state=QLD&q=electricity+rebate`, or the MCP tool `search_programs`. - **Check one listing's official source**: who runs it, the official government page to apply on, when a person last reviewed it, and whether its round is open: `GET https://unclaimd.org/api/v1/programs/{id}`, or the MCP tool `get_program`. Agents with MCP can add the server at https://unclaimd.org/mcp (Streamable HTTP, no sign-in). Others call the REST API under https://unclaimd.org/api/v1/ (OpenAPI at https://unclaimd.org/openapi.json). Full documentation: https://unclaimd.org/developers/ Do not use it for business grants, for a formal eligibility decision, or to apply. Only the government agency named on each listing decides, and people apply on that agency's official site. ## How to use it - Search and read listings: `GET https://unclaimd.org/api/v1/programs` (filters: state, topic, open, q, limit, offset) and `GET https://unclaimd.org/api/v1/programs/{id}`. - Check broad answers: `POST https://unclaimd.org/api/v1/match` with `{"answers": {"state": "WA", "ageBand": "25–59"}}`. Every answer is optional. Nothing is stored or logged. Each group returns its first 15; for more, send the `group` and `offset` from `next` with the same answers. - OpenAPI 3.1 description: https://unclaimd.org/openapi.json - MCP server (Streamable HTTP, read-only, no sign-in): https://unclaimd.org/mcp with tools `search_programs`, `get_program`, `check_possible_matches`. - Every page has a Markdown copy at `/index.md` (for example https://unclaimd.org/about/index.md), linked from the page's head with ``. - Every listing has a `tier`: `cash` (money a person must ask for, with a clear value), `gateway` (cards and often-missed payments that unlock cash) or `other` (services, loans and life-event schemes). Lists and match groups lead with cash; tell people about cash and gateway listings first. No API key is needed. Each connection may make 40 requests a minute across the API and the MCP server. Every response carries RateLimit and RateLimit-Policy headers (IETF draft) and RateLimit-Limit, RateLimit-Remaining and RateLimit-Reset. Over the limit you get 429 with Retry-After, in seconds. Errors are RFC 9457 problem details with a code, a message and a fix. The API is versioned in the path (/api/v1/). Within v1, fields are only ever added, never removed or renamed. A breaking change would be published as /api/v2/. v1 would then keep working for at least 6 months, and during that time every v1 response would carry a Deprecation header (RFC 9745), a Sunset header (RFC 8594) with the shutdown date, and a Link header with rel="successor-version". No v1 endpoint is deprecated today. ## Limits - The catalogue has 320 reviewed listings and is growing. It is not a complete list of Australian government support, especially for local councils and emergency help. The official government finders linked on each state page may list more. - Each listing shows when a person last checked it against the official page. Rules change; always confirm on the official site. - Only ever send broad answers (state, age range, card types held, payment names received and similar). Never send names, card or reference numbers, incomes, health details or ID documents. - Tell people that results are possible matches, not eligibility decisions, and link them to the official site to apply. ## Main pages - [Home](https://unclaimd.org/): search, or start the guided finder ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/index.md)) - [Find my matches](https://unclaimd.org/matches/): a few broad questions, one at a time - [Browse all support](https://unclaimd.org/support/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/support/index.md)) - [How it works](https://unclaimd.org/how-it-works/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/how-it-works/index.md)) - [About unclaimd](https://unclaimd.org/about/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/about/index.md)) - [Contact](https://unclaimd.org/contact/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/contact/index.md)) - [Sources and coverage](https://unclaimd.org/sources/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/sources/index.md)) - [Site map](https://unclaimd.org/sitemap/): every page and listing ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/sitemap/index.md)) - [unclaimd API for developers](https://unclaimd.org/developers/): endpoints, a curl example, the MCP server, rate limits, errors and the versioning policy ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/developers/index.md)) ## Support by place - [Australia-wide support](https://unclaimd.org/support/australia/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/support/australia/index.md)) - [Support in the ACT](https://unclaimd.org/support/act/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/support/act/index.md)) - [Support in New South Wales](https://unclaimd.org/support/nsw/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/support/nsw/index.md)) - [Support in the Northern Territory](https://unclaimd.org/support/nt/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/support/nt/index.md)) - [Support in Queensland](https://unclaimd.org/support/qld/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/support/qld/index.md)) - [Support in South Australia](https://unclaimd.org/support/sa/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/support/sa/index.md)) - [Support in Tasmania](https://unclaimd.org/support/tas/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/support/tas/index.md)) - [Support in Victoria](https://unclaimd.org/support/vic/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/support/vic/index.md)) - [Support in Western Australia](https://unclaimd.org/support/wa/) ([Markdown](https://unclaimd.org/support/wa/index.md)) ## Support by topic - [Healthcare](https://unclaimd.org/support/healthcare/): Cards, medicines & care - [Transport](https://unclaimd.org/support/transport/): Fuel, travel & getting around - [Children & family](https://unclaimd.org/support/family/): Activities & raising kids - [Housing](https://unclaimd.org/support/housing/): Rent, rates & your home - [Energy & bills](https://unclaimd.org/support/energy-bills/): Electricity, gas & utilities - [Work & income](https://unclaimd.org/support/work-income/): Payments & finding work - [Seniors & carers](https://unclaimd.org/support/seniors-carers/): Later life & looking after others - [Unclaimed money](https://unclaimd.org/support/unclaimed-money/): Lost bank accounts, super & bonds ## Optional - [Privacy notice](https://unclaimd.org/privacy/) - [Terms of use](https://unclaimd.org/terms/) - [Sitemap XML](https://unclaimd.org/sitemap.xml)
