How it works

# A few broad questions. Official next steps.

unclaimd shows government support worth checking, then sends you to the official site to confirm the rules and apply.

1. 1 Tell us a little Start with where you live, your age range and what you need help with. Then we ask one question at a time, only when the answer changes what we show. Skip anything.
2. 2 See what may fit Each listing is marked as a possible match, worth checking or might not fit, with the reasons. Unknown answers stay unknown.
3. 3 Apply on the official site Read the full rules on the official government page. The agency checks your details and decides your claim.

## Who it is for

People and households who live in Australia. It covers federal, state, territory and some council help.

It is not for business grants. It cannot tell you for sure what you will get: only the government agency can do that.

## Possible or worth checking?

- **Possible match**: Your answers pass the broad checks we can make. Other rules still apply.
- **Worth checking**: Some details are unknown, or another way in might apply. Read the conditions.
- **Might not fit**: An answer suggests a rule may not fit. Check anyway if your situation is different.

## The questions we may ask

Broad categories only. You only see the ones that matter for the support we list where you live.

- Which state or territory do you live in?
- Your age range
- Do you look after children under 18?
- Which of these cards do you hold?
- Are your children named on that Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card?
- Do you or your partner receive any of these?
- Do you rent or own your home?
- Is the electricity account in your name?
- Which of these do you pay for?
- Did you, your partner or a parent serve in the Australian Defence Force?
- Is anyone in your home an apprentice or trainee?
- Are you an Australian citizen or permanent resident?
- Do you provide daily care for someone?
- Do you have a driver licence or learner permit from your state or territory?
- What is your postcode?
- Does anyone in your home have a disability or a long-term health condition?
- Is anyone in your home Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander?
- Has anything changed lately?
- What would you like help with?

## Your privacy

- No account needed. Your answers stay in this browser tab unless you choose to save them to an account.
- We never ask for card or reference numbers, licence numbers, bank details, incomes, myGov sign-ins or identity documents. We never ask for medical details or health records. We ask one yes/no question about disability, and only save it if you choose.
- No ads. We count totals, never who you are. You can delete a saved account at any time.

## We don’t approve or lodge claims

unclaimd cannot approve claims or lodge applications. Every listing links straight to the agency that runs it, and applying there yourself is free.

## Questions people ask

**Is unclaimd a government website?**

No. unclaimd is an independent service. Programs are run by the government agencies named on each listing, and you apply with them directly.

**Does a possible match mean I will get it?**

No. A possible match means your broad answers pass the checks we can make. Income tests, residence rules, local areas and other conditions still apply, and only the agency decides.

**Why do you ask which cards or payments I have?**

Many programs use a concession card or a payment as their way in. We ask about the type only, never a card number, reference number or amount.

**How current is the information?**

Each listing shows the date we last reviewed it against the official page. Automated checks also look at official pages for changes and flag listings that need another review.

**Can I use it without an account?**

Yes. Browsing, the finder and saving listings on this device all work without signing in. An account is optional, for keeping your answers and choosing email alerts.
